Turbulent bodies of water crash,
As we
Fall into this abyss.

Dark waters mingle with your
now unwanted cup of tea
And we slip into a game of
Cat and mouse.

Shuffling cities settle between our hands –
It’s the elastic band stretched too thin.
Whilst the world spins on and on,
Eternity’s too fast, or slow.

The castaway forgotten is in a sea-less world,
But as your reaching hand is falling
The oceans crash and turn

The silent telephone rings endlessly
And ocean tides forget to rise –
What is this vast but empty sea?
